What information is gathered and how it is used by the FCAG website?

This depends on which of the two areas you are using

Public Area

No information on personal data is kept. We do not use cookies for collecting user information and do not collect any information about you except that required for system administration of our web server.

Club member Area

Registation with this area requires use of personal data, all of which is on the e mail which is returned to members when they become registered. Additional information can be supplied by members if they wish it to be available to other club members. Personal details on the site database are used only for logging on purposes, and for communication between members. No information is supplied to other parties. Members may elect not to show their personal details to other site users, but these details are accessible to site administrators.

Content Added by Members

Members should under no circumstances divulge the email addresses of other users to unconnected third parties, or publish them on public areas of the site. Any inappropriate use will result in withdrawal of the member's permission to use the member zone of the site.

The views and opinions expressed in all areas of the site are the author's own and may not reflect the views and opinions of FCAG. FCAG cannot be held responsible for any breaches of data protection legislation by members.

Usage tracking

FCAG may track user traffic and usage patterns throughout the site, but this information is not correlated with data about individual users. FCAG may also break down statistics to analyse the domain name and browser type of visitors to the site. This information is used to ensure that the website and its content is meeting the needs and the interests of the majority of visitors.

Cookies

The FCAG website uses session cookies. Cookies are also used for the "Remember me" function when logging in.

Correction/ update policy

Members can correct any information on the site, other than their name. Should this need to be changed, an FCAG committee member should be contacted.
